Like Father, Like Daughter
I have become my father. My dad was always yelling at us to turn off the lights when we left a room, and he was known to follow you around and turn off lights behind you. I think my dad was more concerned with saving money than conserving energy, but whatever his reasons he really did not like it when he found a light on in an unoccupied room. I was probably the worst offender of all of his 7 kids. I would leave the light on because I was going to be right back, but somehow he would know the light was on and be there to turn it off. I now do this to my kids. I find myself asking them why they can't just turn off the light, or how hard is it to remember to flip a switch? I am my dad. Oh, the irony.

I find myself doing the very same thing. Pretty scary!
