A Starry Night

In September we saw the Birth of Impressionism exhibit at the de Young Museum, this week we saw the second part of the exhibit, and it completely filled my art-loving heart.  San Francisco is the only city in the world to host both exhibits, and to truly understand either exhibit you needed to see them both.

This exhibit had many paintings that were unfamiliar to me, which was exciting, and some that were so famous you couldn't believe you were actually standing in front of them.  The expression on Dagny's face as she was looking at Van Gogh's Starry Night was unforgettable.

The host is annoying, but I like this video
because it was filmed inside the exhibit.

  2. OK, I am officially jealous! You're right about that hostess. I have seen her on shows discussing being addicted to plastic surgery. Sad, she was very pretty in her before pictures . .. but the paintings were fabulous!!!

  3. I would have LOVED to see it with you! I remember some of my favorite memories of New York were the art museums and amazing creations everywhere I turned! I hope to someday come visit you guys and see the art and culture that can be found in the northern half of CA.

    In the mean time...keep sharing!
