Our Labor Day tradition has always been to spend the day at the beach. This year the teenagers in the house let it be known that they are no longer interested in splashing around in cold waves or building sandcastles. Basically, the beach is boring and they did not want to go. Okay, not a problem, they don't want to spend a lazy day at the beach, how should we spend our Labor Day? Since I am the official cruise director of this operation it's left to me to find an alternate activity. That was not hard to do, I knew the Giants were playing at home so why not spend the holiday at the ballpark? We hurriedly bought some tickets off Stub Hub and ran out the door. Turns out that the best affordable tickets available were in the bleachers so we got to see the game from a totally new perspective. It was the perfect day for baseball. The weather was perfect, the food was amazing, sitting in the bleachers was a super good time, the game was exciting and ended with a walk-off win for the Giants. Oh, and to top it all off, it was Star Wars day at the ballpark. A stormtrooper threw out the first pitch. Seriously, a stormtrooper.
