Jammie Time

I love pajamas.  I wish I was Hugh Hefner and could just walk around in my pj's all day. I especially like flannel pajamas, the ones with pants and button up shirt. I fully realize that they are not sexy, but boy are they warm and comfy. (there's a time for sexy and a time for comfy, I know the difference)  I have quite a collection of whimsical pj's, they have things on them like flying pigs, or clouds, the ones covered in Sock Monkeys are the favorite. For some reason I am delighted by the whimsy, just try not to smile when you look at the Sock Monkey pants. Sadly, I can't wear them all year long, it's just too hot. Every fall I look forward to getting out my beloved jammies, (and buying more!) and I hate putting them away in the spring. All summer long I miss their fuzzy comfort. Of course I have summer jammies, (they're pretty cute too) but honestly it's just not the same. This year I found some summer Sock Monkey jammies, I was pretty excited. The Sock Monkeys are hanging out on the beach and surfing, I am totally taking them to Hawaii with me.  When my kids were little I loved buying them matching jammies, what's cuter in Christmas pictures than matching pj's? They are a tradition, but as the kids have gotten older it's harder to accomplish matching sleep-wear, yet somehow I manage it. I like to share the jammie love.

  1. I love jammies too!!! I used to have a collection of the flannel pant and shirt sets...but I have let that slip. I have missed not getting a new pair this last christmas. Next year I will definitely make up for it! I also love to get matching jammies for my girls at christmas time. It is a tradtion to get them on Christmas eve and wear them to bed. It is something my mom did for me, and I am happy to pass it on to my kids. Its just so fun, and definitely comfy! :)

  2. I love jammies too and so do my girls, but my boys, I never could get them to wear them once they turned about 8 years old. Their idea of pajamas are football shorts and a t-shirt and so I gave up years ago even buying them any. I do however get jammies for my girls, Shantell loves the flannel ones, but Brigitta, it is Princess or nothing.

  3. Dane was done with pajamas at about that same age, but he will wear them for the xmas pictures. I appreciate that.

I have a super cute picture of Dagny, Shantell, and Lindsey at a family reunion all in their princess gown pajamas. It's priceless.
